Kristal Granados, Executive Director of the United Way of the Desert in Palm Desert, CA., is a Coachella Valley native, born in Indio and raised in La Quinta, CA. Prior to joining the United Way in 2013, she enjoyed a 21 year career in community banking, most recently as Vice President/Branch Manager of First Foundation Bank, a private wealth management institution.
Prior to her appointment as Executive Director in October 2013, Kristal served on the Board of Directors of United Way of the Desert for 5 years, in addition to her 15 years as a volunteer on the Community Impact Committee. In her role on the Community Impact Committee, she was responsible for reviewing and vetting United Way non-profit partner grant applications. She has served on the Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors for the Cities of Indian Wells and Cathedral City, and was elected to the Board of Directors for the Palm Desert Area Chamber of Commerce in 2015.
Kristal currently sits on the Business Engagement Committee for the Coachella Valley Economic Partnership and the Board of Directors of the Professionals in Human Resources Association. In 2016 Kristal graduated from University of California Riverside -Palm Desert Campus with a certificate of Non-Profit Management and is a Class of 02 graduate of Leadership Coachella Valley. Kristal previously attended College of the Desert, completing her general education coursework.

Lauren Del Sarto is the founder/publisher of Desert Health® which she started in 2010. In eight short years, Desert Health has become the leading resource for health and wellness in the Coachella Valley consisting of Desert Health News, DesertHealthNews.com and the Desert Health Wellness Awards.
Desert Health’s goal is to unite our local health community; promote wellness and “whole person” healing; to recognize accomplishments, celebrate community, and to educate and encourage readers to live their healthiest self.

Lauren is an active part of the community and supports many health and wellness events and initiatives through her brand. She has served on the Board of Directors for Coachella Valley Volunteers in Medicine and Women Leaders Forum, on the American Heart Association’s Stroke Awareness committee, as a Clinton Foundation Health Matters Pledge Marker, and currently on the Greater Palm Springs Convention & Visitors Bureau’s Live Your Wellest Advisory Council.
